On the afternoon of December 11th, the awarding ceremony of the Lifetime Achievement Award of the 7th Wu Yuzhang Humanities and Social Sciences Award was held in Century Hall of Renmin University of China. Mr. Zhang Kaiyuan, the honorary director of our institute, and Mr. Wu Yifeng of Renmin University of China won awards. Mr. Zhang Kaiyuan is the only scholar in universities and research institutions in Central China who has won this honor so far. Professor Zhang Kaiyuan was unable to be present because he just recovered from illness, so Professor Ma Min, the disciple of Mr. Zhang Kaiyuan and the former secretary of the Party Committee of our university, received the award on behalf of Mr. Zhang. Mr. Zhang delivered his acceptance speech via video. In the video, Mr. Zhang recalled his personal contacts and academic exchanges with Mr. Wu Yuzhang and Mr. Dai Yi, saying that "I don't think this honor is given to me alone. It should be said that this honor is awarded to our generation of peer scholars."
