From August 3 to 7, 2015, the XVII World Economic History Congress was held at the Kyoto International Conference Center, Japan. As the only Chinese executive member of the Executive Committee of the International Economic History Society, Ma Min, Secretary of the Party Committee of CCNU, was invited and led a delegation to attend the meeting. He presented the meeting of the Executive Committee and served as one of the judges of the International Best Doctoral Dissertation Competition in the Economic History. During the meeting, Professor Ma Min, on behalf of the Chinese Economic History Society(CEHS), actively performed his duties as a member of the Executive Committee. On August 4, Professor Ma Min participated in the selection of doctoral dissertations in the 19th Century’s Economic History.On August 6, the old and new members of the Executive Committee reviewed the work of the previous session and discussed the time and agenda of the 2016 Executive Committee meeting. On the morning of August 7, the new Executive Committee held a discussion on the preparatory work arrangements for the 18th World Economic History Congress in 2018. Professor Ma Min put forward his views on the agenda, official languages and other topics of the Congress, which received positive responses from other participants.
