Fu Haiyan, who was awarded the title Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, was born in Xiangyang, Huebi province in 1975. He was selected for the Program of Talents in New Century supported by Ministry of Education in 2011 and has been engaged in studying social and economic history in modern China. At present he holds the position of associate dean in School of History and Culture of Huazhong Normal University.
