Lecturer Introduction: Professor Tang Kaijian, doctoral supervisor, professor of the History Department of Jinan University and Macau University, adjunct professor of Beijing Foreign Studies University, visiting professor of Yuelu Academy of Hunan University, president of Oral History Association of Macao, vice president of Chinese Association for Nationality History, director of Chinese Association of Religious Studies and director of Chinese Society for Historians of China's Foreign Relations. His main research fields are the history of Ming and Qing Dynasties, Macao history, Sino-Foreign relations history, Xi Xia history, and Chinese frontier ethnic history. At present, he has presided over many national projects such as "Macao Records in Qing History". He has published 15 books, includingInterpretation of Matteo Ricci's Chinese Documents in Ming and Qing Dynasties, Macaology, A Touch of Alienation in the Celestial Empire: Western Civilization in Macau, 16th-19th Centuries(Volume I and Volume II), Essays on the History of Macau in Ming Dynasty(Volume I and Volume II), and Exploration of Dangxiang Xi Xia History. He has published more than 100 papers.
